Absolutely bitchen! I Ride a Guzzi, have always thought
Morgans and other 'two in front' designs looked both logical and fun; and for a
while have had this brainstorm about mating the front of one of the current
genre HON/YAM/KAW 4-wheelers w/ the back o one of their big sportbikes, possibly
w/ handlebars/seat intact and free to lean [but don't really know if that's
mechanically or dynamically practical...]. Anyhoo, I'm VERY impressed with your
efforts, and enjoyed your site; your's is absolutely the mo t atractive and
appealing trike/3-wheeler I've seen to date! Keep at it, I'm sure I'll be
stopping by to check for updates as time goes by... P.S. Best of luck!

Saw the photo in "KIT CAR" magazine. Brought back
memories of the old three-wheeled MASA Slingshot Human Powered Vehicle that I
used to go "tear-assing' around elevated parking garages in Phoenix, Arizona
many years ago. With the 3-wheel design of that beautiful sex-toy I also used to
ballast it down with water bottles and come screaming down the Deer Creek
Highway on Mount Charleston (over snow and ice, passing A Yuppie Porsche at
Rbber's Roost at over 75 miles per hour. Since I layed lower than "Yuppo" in my
little Slingshot I always passed him without his awareness of it. Really freaked
him out to find me waiting for him at the bottom of the mountain!) By the way
you were not the first to dream-up this OBVIOUSLY SAFER THAN A MOTORCYCLE
IDEA...I still have the plans for the Bede designed AUTOCYCLE that looks like a
jet fighter sans it's wings. Although to think about it, it wasn't really a
three-wheeler. It was two with a couple of outrigger rollers sucked up into
vestigle wings by it's side. Anyways, thanks for the daydream and keep the right
side up on that rocket-trike of yours...as I learned from the old Slingshot:
trikes have VERY PECULIAR BUT MANAGEABLE HANDLING CHARACTERISTICS!

I saw the article in my co-worker's KitCar, almost fell
over. I've thought about this concept for years. Up here you can't drive a
racecar on the street. However, if yon racecar happened to be registered as a
motorcycle (3 wheels and under 1500lbs) with lights etc. I just bet you could.
I'd sure be interested in any plans you eventually make available. Since I shop
at the Big&Tall a modified chassis may have to be considered. Great job

following up on an idea that's popped into their heads! I know that if worked
out right, you could get excellent gas mileage and a super tight little vehicle.

Delighted to stumble across your page. My very first
vehicle (back in England) was a 1934 BSA three-wheeler, closely followed by a
1924 Morgan. Today my toys include a HMV Freeway and one of only two extant
Fiberfab Scarabs. Actually I'm going to sell the body and use the chassis and
Kawasaki KZ1000 as the basis for a design very similar to your IndyCycle. I'm
also in the process of building a tricar based on the Whiplash.

Greetings my friend, its nice to find out theres company
out on this island of creativity. Somtimes it seems so futile to constantly be
working some crazy/brilliant idea or design just to wind up with another stack
of papers, notes, work-books etc. but I ave them, everywhere.then all of a
sudden you find someone who has "DONE,IT" and you dont feel like such an
eccentric loon.My design is the same tri-wheel configuration as yours. Ive been
developing this design for the past twenty years. I think its my turn, and
someday we should all meet and see the "brothers of creation" that we never knew
we had.It will be a great day, a fine day , a day to remember always ,untill
than my friend, keep chasing your dreams and tackleing your goals. Your Brother

Good work. A year ago I started one an old 750 Honda
Automatic pushing a VW axle. It is taking slow shape. I had no idea of the
number of others interested in these things. This one is wide enough for two but
is so far an open single seater like an old ro dster. I am getting in a
hurry.

I found your IndyCycle very interseting. I'm wondering if
you have any more detailed info on your design that could help me build one
myself. I love motorcycles but would like to try something different. Was your
suspension hand made or bought out of a catalog? If you built it all over again
would you do anything different? My thoughts where for a larger cc motorcycle
donor what is your opinion? What was the wheel base of the IndyCycle. Above all
thanks for some direction in my possible project and ou've done a great job in
incorperating a fun and inexpensive mode of transportation. I bet runs as good
as looks!

The IndyCycle is very nice! I saw it this past weekend at
teh World of Wheels. Very good work. About 10 years ago, I was rebuilding a
Swift Formula Ford (loks very similar to the front half of your rig) in my shop,
along side a custom GS 1100E bike... So drew up a combination of the two, very
similar to yours. Unfortuantely, never had the time to really build it. It's
good to see the idea "in the flesh"! I still want one (or a small fleet!).
Seeing yours only re-inforced that. Take care, and enjoy that rig! Chris

I realy liked your site, and amt thinking of building my
own trike in my new shop. I am now in a 19'x21' shop with 8 foot ceilings. but
am almost done my 40'x50' metal buiding. I took 4 years of metal shop in
highschool and am in my 2nd year of machine hop college. I have a oxyactelene
torch, a sheet metal brake that I built, chopsaw, power hacksaw, ac/dc stick
welder Logan Metallathe, drill press and some grinders, and air compressors.
Trying to get away from using a VW engine,I am going to build a t ansmission
attachment to use a narrowed down Ford Ranger rear end. I am also considering
buiding one like yours. Well I gotta go and finish putting a hitch on my
trailer. Taylor Lambert.

I love the idea and concept. I have wanted a vehicle like
that since I was young. I too plan on creating a "trike" like yours in my
future. I will keep it simple and use a VW front end and a cheap bike for a
power plant and rear end on the first try. ( I igure practice will make perfect
) Then ( money and time permitting ) I will do like you and go with the double a
arm front end. ( Or maybe a ford front end like they use in the cobra kit cars )
I have one question. How much has all this cost? I'm sure it is worth it, I just
want to see if in the future is I will be abile to send my kids to college or
not. J/K I would like to see everyone be able to afford a new car ( that they
can repair on their own ) in the future. I like VW's, I can afford them and take
good care of mine. But it is over 40 years old. The kids of the next generation
need cheap cars. Good car . I think three wheel cars ( like yours ) is the way
to go. ( They also make easy conversions to electric ) Any thoughts of mass
production? Ok two more questions. Is there any storage room in your design? A
place to put luggage, spare tires, etc...? And also what problems did you have?
Not only on the car you are working on but your earlier car? Anything you would
do different? Ok I'll let you go! I'll keep checking back, and keep us updated
on your progress!!! Love the pics! Dan

What do you think of the IndyCycle?:
great!
Ive been thinking of, and sketching similar concepts
myself ever since I saw the original Trimagnum articles appear in PM back in the
seventies. I tracked you down through Max's Three wheeler page. Your
configuration has always been of interest to me. ie: rear drive/two wheels
front/rear drivetrain. Ive always felt that it should be developed for racing!
Similar to CART or Formula 1. Have you ever tested this rig on a high speed
oval. Now that sounds like fun! In recent years I have been sketching somethin
more traditional like the Morgan Runabout. Gettin old I guess. :> However,
using newer technology like the front wheel drivtrain from a reliable high
milage setup like the Geo Metro. Something to cruise the highways in future
years. Anyway, keep up the g od work. Im always watching.

What do you think of the IndyCycle?: 2/in fronts the way to go!
Hi.Jamieson.I'm glad I can finally contact you.I have
been trying to for some time now!A few of us have the right idea, we just have
to convince the rest of the world.I have been building three wheeled vehicles
for 27 years the first ones were 2/in back then I had a revalation or something
and built my first 2/in front what I called the Moon- -Raker and with that I
will never build another three-wheeler 2/in back.The Red three-wheeler I built
was originaly going to be like your IndyCycle resembling an indy car but I wanted
it to seat two with the passenger sitting behind the driver but that would of
made it to long for my taste so I came up with the side by side configuration
check it out and keep up the good work!!
